Admission requirements

For Fall 2026, the official checklist required at least 60 units of transferable post-secondary study and two Fall/Winter academic years with 30 units in each. It listed a minimum overall GPA of 3.3 and required coursework in general and organic chemistry, cell biology, English, statistics, microbiology, introductory biochemistry and human physiology. The prior process also required Personal Experiences, a Canadian DAT, Casper and English-language evidence when applicable. The university's official DDS tip sheet for the Fall 2026 intake described the applicant profile as academic performance, Canadian DAT, Casper, Personal Experiences, the personal interview and the personal statement. Alberta has not published Fall 2027 numeric weights, interview-selection thresholds or final-ranking rules. The live admissions page says competitive applicants are interviewed and lists the qualities assessed.
