1. Welcome to Videoath
Videoath is a healthcare interview preparation platform that helps medical, dental, and pharmacy school applicants practice for CASPer exams and MMI interviews.
By creating an account or using Videoath, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use our platform.
We've written these terms to be clear and human-readable. If anything is confusing, reach out to us at support@videoath.com.
2. Your Account
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Videoath. If you're under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf.
Account Rules
- One account per person — no sharing login credentials
- Keep your account information accurate and up to date
- You're responsible for all activity on your account
- Let us know immediately if you suspect unauthorized access
3. Credits & Payments
Videoath uses a credit-based system. You purchase credits or content packs, then use credits to access premium features like mentor insights and extended practice.
How It Works
- One-time purchases: No subscriptions. Buy what you need.
- Credits don't expire: Use them at your own pace.
- No hidden fees: Prices are shown before you buy.
Refunds
We offer refunds within 7 days of purchase if you haven't used the credits or content. Once credits are consumed or content is accessed, refunds are not available. Contact us at support@videoath.com for refund requests.
4. Your Content (Video Responses)
You'll record video and audio responses as part of your practice. Here's how that works:
Ownership
You own your recordings. We don't claim ownership of your video responses, audio recordings, or written reflections.
License to Videoath
By uploading content, you grant us a license to store, process, and display your recordings for the purpose of providing the service. This includes:
- Storing recordings securely on our servers
- Generating transcriptions and AI feedback
- Showing recordings to practice group members (if you're in a group)
- Displaying recordings in the community section (only if you choose to share)
Sharing & Privacy
Your recordings are private by default. They become visible to others only when you:
- Join a practice group (group members can see your responses)
- Opt to share in the community section
- Generate a shareable link
Deletion
You can delete your recordings at any time from your dashboard. Deleted recordings are permanently removed from our systems.
5. Practice Groups
Practice groups are small cohorts where you practice with peers and give each other feedback.
How Groups Work
- Group members can view each other's responses within the group
- You can rate and provide feedback on peers' responses
- Feedback is visible to the response owner
- Group admins can see all content and moderate discussions
Be Respectful
Practice groups require mutual respect. When giving feedback:
- Be constructive and supportive
- Focus on helping peers improve
- No personal attacks, harassment, or discrimination
- Keep feedback relevant to interview preparation
We reserve the right to remove users who violate these guidelines.
6. Community Sharing
You can optionally share your responses with the broader Videoath community to help others learn from your practice.
- Sharing is always opt-in — never automatic
- Shared responses can receive star ratings from other users
- You can unshare or delete community responses at any time
- Don't share content that isn't yours or violates others' rights
7. Mentor Insights (AI Feedback)
Videoath provides AI-generated feedback on your practice responses. Here's what you should know:
- Educational tool, not professional advice: Mentor insights are designed to help you practice, not replace human coaching or professional guidance.
- AI limitations: While we strive for accuracy, AI feedback may occasionally be incomplete or miss nuances that a human coach would catch.
- No guarantees: Using Videoath doesn't guarantee admission to any program or success on any exam.
We recommend supplementing AI feedback with advice from mentors, advisors, and peers when possible.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Share your account credentials or access others' accounts
- Use Videoath to cheat on actual exams or interviews
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute our content or question banks
- Upload harmful, illegal, or inappropriate content
- Harass, bully, or discriminate against other users
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or hack the platform
- Use bots or automated systems to access the service
9. Intellectual Property
Our Content
Videoath owns or licenses all platform content including practice scenarios, course materials, UI design, and branding. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works without permission.
Your Content
You retain ownership of your video responses and written content. The license you grant us (described in Section 4) is limited to operating the service.
10. Account Termination
By You
You can delete your account at any time. Contact us at support@videoath.com or use the account deletion option in your settings.
By Us
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abusive behavior, or harm other users. We'll try to give notice when possible, but may act immediately for serious violations.
11. Disclaimers & Limitations
Videoath is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee:
- Uninterrupted or error-free service
- That AI feedback will be accurate in all cases
- Admission to any educational program
- Specific exam scores or outcomes
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Videoath's liability for any claims related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
