Admission requirements
Applicants need a bachelor's degree before matriculation, minimum CASPA-calculated cumulative and science GPAs of 3.0, prerequisite courses completed with C or better, and at least 500 hours of direct patient care. Carroll excludes several roles from that patient-care total, including administrative work, medical scribing, PT technician work, ABA therapy, student training, and observation.
The 2026-27 cycle no longer requires the GRE. Applicants also submit three references and a $50 supplemental fee; the fee is waived for specified CASPA fee-waiver and McNair recipients. Carroll admissions

How selection works
Carroll evaluates academic performance and potential, knowledge of the PA profession, work and community service, other experiences, references, personal statement, and essays. The most qualified applicants receive personal interviews assessing interpersonal skills, maturity, motivation, and life experience. Additional consideration is published for Carroll graduates, commitment to diversity, service to people in need, leadership, barriers overcome, and strong non-curricular achievement.
