Admission requirements

Applicants need at least 90 semester hours of college work, excluding physical education and military training. At least 60 hours and every prerequisite must be from an accredited U.S. or Canadian institution and taught in English. A bachelor’s degree is strongly encouraged rather than mandatory. Required coursework is at least six semester hours each of sequential general chemistry, sequential organic chemistry, biology, sequential physics, and English or comparable reading- and writing-intensive humanities. Prerequisites need a C or higher; C-minus does not count. AP, IB and test-exemption credit cannot satisfy them. Up to 60 community-college hours are accepted, although upper-level four-year work is strongly recommended. Current checklist

The DAT is required and, for this cycle, must have been taken from July 1, 2024 through January 1, 2027. Case publishes no numerical DAT or GPA minimum. An institutional evaluation is strongly preferred; if unavailable, a composite or packet should include two science-faculty evaluations from instructors who taught the applicant. Additional non-science, work or clinical letters may be included. Casper through Acuity's U.S. Professional Health Sciences test, CSP-20100, is required; the Canadian or another version is not accepted. The current page permits evaluated international transcripts but only says U.S. or Canadian prerequisite work is strongly preferred, leaving the exact citizenship and visa contract unpublished.

Important dates

Applicants use ADEA AADSAS and should submit early. The Case application deadline is January 1, 2027. There is no separate secondary form, but a supplemental fee is required; a current amount is not published on the checklist, and an AADSAS fee-waiver letter can waive it. Interviews begin scheduling in August 2026. Current checklist

The DAT window ends January 1, 2027. The required Casper must be taken by January 5, 2027, and the committee will not review a file until it receives the result. Initial offers are targeted for approximately December 15, 2026, with rolling offers afterward. The school does not publish its last interview date or exact August 2027 matriculation date.

How selection works

Case issues interview invitations on a rolling first-completed, first-considered basis, using the AADSAS file and collected evaluations. Casper complements the school's other review tools and is intended to measure attributes relevant to the programme. Current checklist

The school says it seeks academic excellence, responsibility for learning, application of general concepts, comfort with active group learning, interest in science and dental care, and responsibility to patients, community and society. DMD programme Following interview, files may remain under review, receive an offer, or enter Alternate or Hold lists. Numerical factor weights, DAT/GPA thresholds, Casper cutoffs, interview scoring and committee vote rules are not published.

DMD programme The school formally changed the degree from DDS to DMD in 2003, so the backlog's generic label should resolve to DMD. This page excludes the separate Case medical programme, advanced-standing and postdoctoral routes.

Practice and next step

Record a response about learning in a collaborative setting where another perspective changed your approach. Make one adjustment, record a second attempt and compare structure and credibility.

Recommended preparation

Structured Interview Essentials

Build a repeatable spoken-answer loop across five common structured-interview skills: fair decisions, ethical reasoning, using feedback, teamwork under pressure, and explaining your motivation. Record each response once, choose the weakest one, review one observable weakness, and answer it again with one deliberate adjustment.
