How selection works

Chapman evaluates academic strength, motivation for pharmacy, maturity, communication, talents, achievements and the contribution an applicant may make to the profession. Competitive applicants are invited through PharmCAS at least two weeks before the interview date. Interview day assesses oral communication, teamwork, critical thinking, leadership and motivation or potential to become a pharmacist. FAQ

The School does not publish file-review weights, academic-versus-interview weights, interview rating anchors, numerical cutoffs, committee vote rules or its wait-list ranking method. The FAQ says admission decisions are typically emailed within one week after interview.

Interview details

Confirmed

Selected applicants receive a PharmCAS email invitation at least two weeks before the interview. The interview has three parts: an oral interview, a group session and a group presentation. Chapman states that it assesses oral communication, teamwork, critical thinking, leadership and motivation or potential to be a pharmacist. Professional attire is required. FAQ

Not published

Chapman does not publish interview dates, total duration, interviewer roles, group size, group task or presentation prompt, file access, question count, preparation time, rating anchors, numerical weight or admission cutoff. The invitation controls the live logistics.

Who this program may suit

Chapman may suit applicants who want an accelerated 33-month PharmD on the Rinker Health Science Campus in Irvine, near biomedical, biotechnology and pharmaceutical employers. The format compresses the professional degree into three years and the school highlights extensive regional rotation access. Program FAQ

The interview tests both individual communication and collaborative performance. Rolling review rewards an early complete application, while the compressed calendar should be weighed against a traditional four-year pace.

Practice and next step

Use the linked pharmacy error scenario for three practice modes: a two-minute oral answer, a group contribution that builds on another idea, and a short group-presentation close. Review clarity, teamwork, critical thinking and leadership against Chapman's published aims. Record a second attempt in each mode, compare the two versions and repeat with a medication-access scenario.
