Admission requirements
Applicants must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or eligible for DACA when they submit the application. Chicago Medical School requires at least 90 undergraduate semester hours at a regionally accredited institution before application and a bachelor's degree before matriculation. Required coursework, with grades of C or higher, includes one year of introductory biology with laboratory; one year of physics with laboratory; a two-year chemistry sequence containing general or inorganic chemistry with laboratory, organic chemistry with laboratory, and biochemistry; and two behavioral or social-science courses. Statistics, advanced biology, English composition, and other humanities and social sciences are recommended. CMS prerequisites
AP and CLEP credit may satisfy prerequisites when recorded on the college transcript. Accredited community-college coursework and AMCAS-verified online coursework are accepted, subject to required laboratory components. The MCAT is required. For 2026–27, accepted exam dates run from January 1, 2024 through September 30, 2026. Applicants submit one committee letter, three individual letters, or one packet containing no more than three individual letters, all through AMCAS. The supplemental fee is $140 and is automatically waived for applicants with AMCAS Fee Assistance approval. CMS requirements

How selection works
Applicants submit AMCAS. Chicago Medical School sends a supplemental to verified applicants who meet its citizenship requirements; the application becomes complete when the supplemental, fee or waiver, MCAT, letters, and other materials are received. CMS FAQ
The school describes a holistic review that considers undergraduate and science GPAs, graduate work, academic rigor, MCAT, recommendations, personal statement, supplemental essays, medical experience, humanitarian and community service, employment, leadership, and other life experience.
