Admission requirements
Applicants must be U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents and complete their required preparation at an accredited four-year institution in the United States or Canada. A bachelor's degree is required before matriculation. Creighton requirements Creighton FAQ
Creighton publishes no defined prerequisite-course list. It recommends recent biology and chemistry preparation, plus English, humanities, and statistics, and says applicants should have 40–45 total credits across biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics. These are preparation recommendations rather than a separate fixed prerequisite list. Creighton requirements
The MCAT minimum is 500. For fall 2027 entry, accepted exam dates run from January 2024 through September 2026. The FAQ says Creighton reviews the most recent MCAT score and has no subsection cutoffs. A stale subsection on the application-process page still shows the prior cycle's 2023–2025 range; the explicit fall 2027 requirements table controls here. Creighton requirements Creighton FAQ
Applicants submit at least three and no more than six letters through AMCAS. A committee letter is preferred when available but not required; without one, the school suggests two science-faculty and one non-science-faculty letter while leaving the final choice to the applicant. Creighton application process
Creighton requires foundations in direct non-medical service, clinical or medical experience, physician shadowing, and patient contact. Research is valued but not required. The current reviewed pages do not list CASPer or PREview as application requirements. Creighton requirements
Important dates
Creighton's current application page lists June 1 for AMCAS submission, September 1 for the start of regular MD and MD/PhD interviews, October 15 for the start of regular MD decisions, November 1 for the AMCAS deadline, November 15 for transcripts to AMCAS, January 15 for the secondary and complete-file deadline, and April 30 for withdrawing and receiving a deposit refund. Creighton application process
The page does not print calendar years beside these milestones. For fall 2027 entry, applicants should confirm the exact 2026–27 dates in AMCAS and Creighton's portal rather than treating an annual month-and-day listing as cycle-confirmed. The requirements page independently confirms that the latest eligible MCAT is September 2026. Creighton requirements
Interviews run from September through March and decisions are made on a rolling basis. Final transcripts for accepted applicants are due July 15 of the matriculating year. Creighton application process
How selection works
Applicants submit AMCAS. Creighton sends its $100 secondary to verified applicants who meet the published 500 MCAT gate or have a future MCAT date. The file becomes complete after verified AMCAS, MCAT, secondary, letters, photograph, and fee are received. Complete applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Creighton application process
The school describes a holistic review of the applicant's story and journey to medicine, academic preparation, grades, MCAT, medical experience, physician shadowing, and direct non-medical service, particularly with underserved populations. Published personal qualities include intellectual curiosity, emotional maturity, honesty, motivation, and scholastic ability. Creighton FAQ Creighton requirements
Selected applicants complete two virtual, open-file interviews. The Committee on Admissions makes rolling decisions. The current official pages do not publish numerical weights for academics, MCAT, service, experiences, letters, secondary responses, or interview performance, nor a final score-combination formula.
Interview details
Confirmed
Creighton conducts interviews virtually from September through March. They are open-file interviews: evaluators may review the applicant's AMCAS, secondary, and letters. Current official copy describes two 30-minute interviews, one of which is with a Creighton medical student. Creighton application process
Applicants selected to interview are notified by email, and the invitation provides the operational details. Admitted applicants may later attend an in-person Admitted Student Day. Creighton application process
Not published
The current official sources do not identify the role of the second interviewer, the question categories, advance preparation time, transition time, scoring rubric, interview weight, component weights, or final score-combination formula. Applicants should use their invitation before recreating exact fall 2027 logistics.
Who this program may suit
Creighton may suit eligible applicants looking for one MD admissions program with Omaha and Phoenix campus options and a published emphasis on Jesuit service, patient-centered care, academic readiness, clinical exposure, physician shadowing, and direct non-medical service to underserved populations. Creighton requirements Creighton FAQ
Key practical fit constraints are U.S. citizenship or permanent residence, U.S./Canadian four-year preparation, a bachelor's degree, the 500 MCAT gate and current testing window, a $100 secondary, and two virtual open-file interviews. Creighton is private and says it does not prefer applicants by state of residence. Creighton FAQ These are eligibility, preparation, cost, campus, and format considerations, not predictions of an interview or offer.
Practice and next step
Start with the featured clinic-access scenario. Record one response that identifies missing clinical and access information, weighs both patients' needs, applies a consistent decision process, and communicates the outcome respectfully. This practises service-oriented reasoning and clear communication without assuming an unpublished Creighton interview rubric.
Review the recording for one observable weakness: perhaps you made an unsupported assumption, did not connect the decision to service and patient needs, or left your conclusion vague. Record the response again with one deliberate adjustment and compare the attempts. Continue through the structured-interview path to practise ethical reasoning, teamwork, using feedback, and motivation. Use the invitation before recreating exact fall 2027 interview logistics.

Structured Interview Essentials
Build a repeatable spoken-answer loop across five common structured-interview skills: fair decisions, ethical reasoning, using feedback, teamwork under pressure, and explaining your motivation. Record each response once, choose the weakest one, review one observable weakness, and answer it again with one deliberate adjustment.
