Turn confirmed information into a first practice
Clinic appointment access and fairness
Original Videoath MMI-style spoken practice for the McMaster admissions-page canary. This is not a recalled or confidential McMaster question. Review the response for a clear opening position, affected people and interests, missing information, fair trade-offs, respectful communication, and a concise conclusion. Use a two-attempt loop: review one observable weakness, then record the same prompt again with that adjustment.

Admission requirements
Applicants need a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution before orientation. DMU recommends a 2.8 cumulative and science GPA, but says all applications are considered; required coursework must be completed before starting and generally includes biology/zoology 8 semester hours, general chemistry 8, organic chemistry 4, biochemistry 3, physics 8, and English/composition/speech/literature 6, with labs required when available (DO requirements). MCAT scores are required through AACOMAS and must be within three years of matriculation. Submit at least three references. Clinical exposure is recommended, not required. DMU states that only U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents are eligible for admission (DMU FAQ).
Important dates
DMU’s current process is recurring rather than year-labelled: AACOMAS opens in early May for the class enrolling the following August, and the application deadline is the AACOMAS closing date (admissions process). Do not convert those annual dates into verified Fall 2027 deadlines. Confirm the next cycle’s primary, secondary, interview, and deposit dates in the applicant portal before applying.
How selection works
DMU uses AACOMAS, official transcripts, MCAT scores, and references before committee review. Competitive applicants are invited to assess academic preparation, motivation, and program fit; decisions may be admit, alternate, or release from consideration throughout the cycle (DMU FAQ). The public pages do not publish a detailed weighting formula.
Interview details
Confirmed
DMU describes a two-part virtual interview process: a dean’s overview with a presentation and live student Q&A, followed by a live virtual interview with a DMU faculty member (DMU FAQ).
Not published
The current public sources do not publish interview duration, scoring rubric, question list, or a Fall 2027-specific schedule.
Who this program may suit
DMU’s published program combines osteopathic manual medicine, early clinical experience, and a broad clinical-rotation network (DMU DO program). Applicants who can connect patient-care or shadowing experience to whole-person osteopathic practice may find those themes relevant. This is preparation guidance, not an admission prediction.
Practice and next step
Original Videoath practice: Use the linked general fairness prompt to practise explaining a difficult patient-care trade-off in a clear virtual interview response. Record a timed answer, review feedback tied to the recording, choose one weakness, adjust the explanation, record it again, and compare both attempts before choosing the next practice target.
