Admission requirements
Applicants must permanently reside in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Georgia, or Washington, D.C.; North Carolina residents receive preference. ECU also requires a regionally accredited bachelor's degree, minimum 3.0 overall and prerequisite GPAs, all prerequisites complete at submission, and three references. ECU reviews complete files holistically and in receipt order. Published considerations include residence, academic record, references, clinical experience, leadership, service, rural or underserved commitment, and connection to eastern North Carolina.
