How selection works
For interview review, Georgetown evaluates five areas holistically without assigning a weight: AMCAS and secondary essays; clinical, leadership, service and research experiences; MCAT; undergraduate BCPM science GPA; and letters. The committee reads the entire file once before making its decision. Georgetown guide Georgetown FAQ
The school describes a highly competitive file as having a science GPA of at least 3.6 and approximately 200 or more hours of substantive longitudinal clinical experience, 100 or more research hours and 100 or more hours of direct face-to-face service with underserved populations. These are competitiveness guidance, not published minimum eligibility thresholds. Georgetown guide
The committee also considers academic achievement, character, maturity and motivation, with the personal interview informing non-cognitive assessment. Georgetown guide Interview information
The school does not publish a screen formula, numerical weights, interview score rubric, interview weight or final committee formula.

Who this program may suit
Georgetown may suit applicants drawn to a Jesuit medical school whose admissions guidance foregrounds academic preparation, character, motivation, sustained clinical exposure, research and direct service to underserved communities. Georgetown guide
Its individual virtual interview invites a coherent account of background, motivation, interests and goals. The published experience-hour figures are useful context for self-assessment but are not eligibility guarantees or numerical selection cutoffs. Interview information Georgetown guide
Practice and next step
Record a 30-45 minute-interview-style response to the featured prompt. Explain the situation, the values in tension, your reasoning and what you would do next; keep the response grounded in your own experience and motivation.
Review whether the answer shows maturity without overclaiming. Record it again with one improvement and compare both attempts. Then practise a concise account of one sustained clinical or service experience and what changed in your thinking. Follow the official invitation for platform and timing details.

Structured Interview Essentials

Record each response once, choose the weakest one, review one observable weakness, and answer it again with one deliberate adjustment.
