Admission requirements

Required preparation includes one academic year of general chemistry, one semester of organic chemistry, one semester of biochemistry, one academic year of biology, one semester of physics, one academic year of laboratory work in biology and/or chemistry, one semester of statistics with biostatistics preferred, and one academic year of English-intensive writing. Applicants ordinarily need a bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. or Canadian college or university before enrollment. Those whose undergraduate degree was earned abroad must provide a course-by-course transcript evaluation from a NACES member organization; additional U.S. coursework is highly recommended. Community-college and online prerequisites are reviewed case by case, in-person coursework is strongly preferred and laboratory sciences should not be online. How selection works
