Admission requirements
Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in any field from an accredited U.S. or Canadian college or university by spring of the matriculation year. KPSOM accepts applications from U.S. citizens, permanent residents and DACA recipients, but not international applicants who require a student visa. Previous medical-school students and transfer applicants are ineligible. Requirements
Required coursework is one semester or quarter of behavioural or social science; one academic year of general biology with laboratory; one academic year of general or inorganic chemistry with laboratory; one academic year of general physics with laboratory; and one semester or quarter of humanities. Organic chemistry, biochemistry, calculus, statistics, population health or epidemiology and a language other than English are recommended. AP credit is accepted when the undergraduate institution awarded graduation credit and it appears on the transcript. Requirements
The MCAT is required. For the 2026–27 cycle, KPSOM considers scores from July 2024 through September 2026 and publishes no minimum score. AAMC PREview is also required, with a November 1 score deadline; there is no minimum PREview score and PREview scores do not expire. Application process
Applicants submit either one integrated committee letter from a pre-health committee or advisor, or three to six individual letters from professionals familiar with their academic performance and personal attributes. Application process
Important dates
The AMCAS primary opens in May and is due October 1, 2026. All eligible applicants are invited to submit the KPSOM secondary, which is due November 1, 2026. November 1 is also the PREview score deadline. The last accepted MCAT is in September 2026. Application timeline Application process

KPSOM describes a mission-aligned review that considers academic achievement, lived experiences, milestones and personal attributes in context.
