The DAT is required and must be no more than three years old at matriculation. The current new-scale expectations are a combined Survey of Natural Sciences plus Academic Average total of 410 or higher, with expected section scores of 410 Academic Average, 370 Reading Comprehension, 410 Perceptual Ability and 410 Survey of Natural Sciences. The Canadian DAT may substitute for the U.S. DAT. These are described as competitive or expected scores, not stated absolute automatic-rejection thresholds.

Two letters are required. One must be from a predental advisory committee or science professor. The second is preferably from a physician or dentist or another person who can address integrity and ethical standards.
