Clinic appointment access and fairness
Practise making a fair decision when access is limited. Review whether you identify missing information, weigh both patients' needs, and explain the next step clearly; then record the scenario again with one improvement.

Important dates
For Fall 2027, the final accepted PREview date is August 13, 2026 and the final MCAT date is August 22. The AMCAS application is due October 1, AMCAS transcripts October 15 and the supplemental October 30. Prepare to apply
Interview invitations begin on a rolling basis in August, and rolling admission offers begin in October. The current official page does not publish the final interview date or a complete 2027 decision calendar. Application process
Prerequisites must be complete by July 1, 2027. The page still displays Plan to Enroll, Commit to Enroll and deferral dates under the Application Cycle 2026 heading; those dates are not reused for the 2027 cycle. Applicant-specific accepted-student instructions control the unpublished 2027 enrollment dates. Prepare to apply
How selection works
AMCAS applications are screened for a minimum 500 MCAT, a PREview result, eligible citizenship or status and degree status before a supplemental is issued. Every eligible applicant completes the same secondary and selects a General, Rural Health or Indigenous Health mission, after which relevant campus options appear. Application process
The school uses competency-based holistic review and asks applicants to show its entering-student competencies throughout the application and interview. It gives preference to Minnesota applicants and those with a strong desire to practise medicine in Minnesota. Prepare to apply
Rolling offers include campus placement. Numerical component weights, PREview weighting, screening rules beyond the published eligibility screen, interview scoring anchors and committee voting rules are not published.
Interview details
Confirmed
Interview invitations begin by email on a rolling basis in August. The program is conducted by Zoom and includes one 30-minute mission-specific interview, a Driven to Discover presentation and a conversation with Admissions Ambassadors. Application process
The interview follows the mission choice made on the supplemental: General Mission, Rural Health Mission or Indigenous Health Mission. This is one shared MD interview process across the school, not separate applications for Twin Cities, Duluth or St. Cloud. Application process
Not published
The current official page does not publish the interviewer's role or file access, exact question domains, scoring anchors, interview weight, final interview date or applicant-specific Zoom schedule. Older MMI materials do not establish the current process and are excluded.
Who this program may suit
Minnesota now describes one Medical School with three campuses. The General Mission, Rural Health Mission and Indigenous Health Mission choices on the shared secondary expose the appropriate Twin Cities, Duluth or CentraCare St. Cloud options, and an acceptance includes campus placement. Application process
Duluth emphasizes rural Minnesota and American Indian or Alaska Native community health; St. Cloud emphasizes clinicians and leaders for Greater Minnesota. Applicants should choose the mission whose population and training goals they can support with specific past action, not treat each campus as a separate medical-school application.
Practice and next step
Record a two-minute answer explaining which Minnesota mission you would select and how one experience prepared you to contribute to it. Review whether you name the community, your action and the result without speaking in abstractions. Replace one broad claim with evidence, record a second answer and compare specificity, service orientation and reflection.

Recommended preparation
Structured Interview Essentials
Build a repeatable spoken-answer loop across five common structured-interview skills: fair decisions, ethical reasoning, using feedback, teamwork under pressure, and explaining your motivation. Record each response once, choose the weakest one, review one observable weakness, and answer it again with one deliberate adjustment.
