Clinic appointment access and fairness
Original Videoath MMI-style spoken practice for the McMaster admissions-page canary. This is not a recalled or confidential McMaster question. Review the response for a clear opening position, affected people and interests, missing information, fair trade-offs, respectful communication, and a concise conclusion. Use a two-attempt loop: review one observable weakness, then record the same prompt again with that adjustment.

Admission requirements
UNC requires a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited U.S. or Canadian institution. For the 2027 Admissions cycle, MCAT scores from January 1, 2024 through September 13, 2026 are accepted and the exam must be within three years of matriculation (requirements).
Applicants need at least 30 letter-graded AMCAS BCPM credits, including one biochemistry course and two upper-level biology courses; statistics and humanities are recommended. In-person coursework is strongly preferred, and AP or CLEP credit does not count toward the required BCPM hours. Three letters are required, with up to two optional letters, through AMCAS.
The application uses AMCAS followed by a UNC supplemental application. UNC’s current requirements page lists an October 1, 2026 AMCAS deadline and a $68 supplemental fee. Review remains holistic and includes academic preparation, service, communication, leadership, and patient-contact experience.
Important dates
- September 13, 2026: latest MCAT date accepted for the 2027 Admissions cycle.
- October 1, 2026: UNC AMCAS submission deadline.
- August 31, 2026: recommended letter-submission date so the file is ready for review.
- September–February: interview period.
- Early April: final decision notifications, including acceptance, waitlist, or unsuccessful application.
The supplemental deadline is provided in UNC’s invitation email rather than the public page. Confirm dates in the applicant portal before applying (admissions checklist).
How selection works
UNC describes a holistic review that considers academic preparation, direct patient contact, service, research, communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, and understanding of medicine (admissions checklist). Applicants submit AMCAS, receive a supplemental application after verified AMCAS receipt, and may be invited to interview. Continuous review allows decisions during the interview season; no school-published weighting formula is claimed.
Interview details
Confirmed
UNC says selected applicants are contacted by email to schedule an interview, with interviews conducted between September and February (admissions checklist).
Not published
The current official pages do not publish modality, station count, duration, interviewer assignment, scoring rubric, or a current question list. Do not infer an MMI, panel, or school-authentic prompt.
Who this program may suit
UNC’s stated preparation themes may suit applicants who can connect academic readiness with direct patient contact, service, research, communication, and a genuine desire to improve society (admissions checklist). The school also emphasizes rigorous in-person BCPM preparation and a clear understanding of medical-care demands. These are preparation cues, not an admission prediction.
Practice and next step
Original Videoath practice: Use the linked general fairness prompt to rehearse a concise spoken answer about balancing competing needs in a clinical setting. Record a timed response, review whether your reasoning is clear and acknowledges affected people, choose one weakness, adjust the answer, record it again, and compare the two attempts. This is general Videoath practice, not a UNC question.
