Current-cycle decision support
Turn confirmed information into a first practice
Clinic appointment access and fairness
Practise making a fair decision when access is limited. Review whether you identify missing information, weigh both patients' needs, and explain the next step clearly; then record the scenario again with one improvement.

Admission requirements
Applicants must complete a bachelor's degree at a U.S.- or Canadian-accredited college or university by matriculation. NYU Grossman Long Island does not mandate prerequisite courses but expects proficiency in biology, physics, chemistry, genetics, statistics, English, psychology and sociology. Requirements Deadlines
The MCAT is required. For July 2027 entry, January 2024 is the oldest accepted score, with no exceptions. The current pages do not publish a numeric GPA or MCAT minimum or a latest accepted test date. Requirements
Applicants submit a committee or composite letter, or at least three individual letters when that option is unavailable; two individual letters should be from science professors. Up to 10 letters are accepted, only through AMCAS. Accepted applicants must meet technical standards and complete a criminal background check. Requirements
On the secondary, applicants choose a residency track in internal medicine, pediatrics or obstetrics and gynecology. The school evaluates experience in primary care and the chosen track, readiness for an accelerated curriculum, teamwork, maturity and commitment to the communities it serves. How selection works
The school uses comprehensive review centred on fit for its primary-care mission and three-year pace. Published factors include career goals, premedical experiences, academic readiness, direct experience in the selected primary-care track, generalist intent, teamwork, collaboration, maturity and commitment to the communities served. MD admissions Requirements
Accepted candidates are offered a directed pathway into their selected residency at NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island. They are ranked to match through NRMP in the final year, contingent on satisfactory academic progress and professional standards, if they choose to rank the program. The pathway does not assure a match, and students may rank external programs. MD admissions Common questions
The school does not publish numerical screening thresholds, component weights, interview-score combination, committee voting or waitlist ordering.
Interview details
Confirmed
All interviews are virtual from September through early December. The two-part process includes an MMI and an interactive group activity. Each component takes about one hour, with applicants divided into groups and then switching activities. Interview process
The MMI uses short scenario-based conversations with different assessors mapped to AAMC interpersonal and intrapersonal competencies. It assesses decision-making, critical thinking, interpersonal skills and communication. The circuit includes a nonclinical standardized-patient interaction and a limited traditional station with application-specific questions. The group exercise is facilitated by NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island Simulation Center staff and evaluates teamwork and collaboration. Interview process
Not published
The school does not publish station count, station or preparation length, group size, exact exercise, assessor file access beyond the traditional station, scoring rubric, component weights or committee-vote mechanics.
Who this program may suit
This program is for applicants already committed to generalist practice in internal medicine, pediatrics or obstetrics and gynecology. The accelerated calendar offers little time to explore unrelated specialties and is not structured to build a portfolio for highly specialized fields. Common questions
All enrolled students receive three-year full-tuition scholarships while maintaining academic progress and professional standards, and need-based debt-free scholarships can help cover costs beyond tuition. That policy belongs to this Long Island program and should not be generalized to another NYU medical-school identity. MD admissions
Practice and next step
Record a 90-second response explaining why your chosen primary-care track is an informed commitment, using one direct experience and one lesson about generalist care. Review whether the answer demonstrates fit for an accelerated, team-based curriculum rather than only attraction to tuition support. Strengthen the weaker dimension and record again.

Recommended preparation
Structured Interview Essentials
Build a repeatable spoken-answer loop across five common structured-interview skills: fair decisions, ethical reasoning, using feedback, teamwork under pressure, and explaining your motivation. Record each response once, choose the weakest one, review one observable weakness, and answer it again with one deliberate adjustment.
