Clinic appointment access and fairness
Practise making a fair decision when access is limited. Review whether you identify missing information, weigh both patients' needs, and explain the next step clearly; then record the scenario again with one improvement.

Important dates
The current OU page publishes a June-through-September application window, early-fall interview invitations, interviews from September through November and acceptance communication in mid-December. It does not give exact dates or label the window specifically as the 2026-27 cycle. Current DDS programme page
For the central service, ADEA AADSAS opened May 12, 2026 and accepted first submissions June 2. Its later February 5, 2027 close does not replace OU's earlier school window. ADEA AADSAS dates The current OU DDS source does not publish an exact school deadline, supplemental application or fee, letter deadline, Fall 2027 start date or exact offer date.
How selection works
OU publishes academic minimums, suggested DAT reference points, substantial shadowing and service requirements, and a current timeline from application through interviews and acceptances. The shadowing guidance asks applicants to reflect on how exposure across general and specialty settings affected them, while service should show engagement with different communities. Current DDS programme page
The current official page does not publish a complete holistic-review framework, recommendation contract, screening formula, quantitative weights, interview scoring, admissions-committee mechanics, residency preference or seat allocation, or wait-list ordering.

Who this program may suit
OU's four-year DDS emphasizes early patient interaction, biomedical and dental foundations, simulated practice and progressively greater clinical responsibility. Applicants should be ready to explain what they learned across several dental settings and how sustained community service shaped their understanding of patients and communities. Current DDS programme page This is one regular DDS application: Oklahoma City is the primary identity, while Tulsa is a clinical assignment during years three and four, not a separate admissions page. Exclude ASPID, dental hygiene, residencies, specialties and graduate programmes.
Practice and next step
Record a response linking one dental-shadowing insight with one community-service experience. Ask a reviewer whether the answer shows reflection, respects the limits of an observer's role and explains why the two experiences matter for patient care. Make one adjustment, record a second attempt and compare specificity and coherence.

Recommended preparation
Structured Interview Essentials
Build a repeatable spoken-answer loop across five common structured-interview skills: fair decisions, ethical reasoning, using feedback, teamwork under pressure, and explaining your motivation. Record each response once, choose the weakest one, review one observable weakness, and answer it again with one deliberate adjustment.
