Clinic appointment access and fairness
Practise making a fair decision when access is limited. Review whether you identify missing information, weigh both patients' needs, and explain the next step clearly; then record the scenario again with one improvement.

How selection works
Perelman’s Committee on Admissions uses holistic review of academic strength, life experiences, personal attributes, and obstacles when deciding interviews and selection. Interviews are invitation-only; only interviewed students are considered for admission. Penn has a single admission date in March for MD and MD/PhD. No GPA/MCAT cutoff is claimed; entering-class ranges are context, not a threshold. Perelman Application Procedure
Interview details
Confirmed
Interviews are by invitation and occur between September and January. The application-procedure page says one-on-one interviews with faculty and students take place on dates selected by the Office of Admissions; only interviewed students are considered for admission. Perelman Application Procedure
Not published
Penn does not publish interview modality, duration, number of interviews per applicant, scoring rubric, question list, or MMI/station structure on the cited admissions pages. Do not call it virtual or MMI.
Who this program may suit
This process may suit applicants who can demonstrate academic preparation, scientific competency, service and life experience, resilience, personal attributes, and a clear motivation for medicine. Applicants should prepare to discuss their experiences in a one-on-one setting while keeping the school’s published format limits in mind. These are preparation considerations, not a prediction of admission. Official program/admissions source
Practice and next step
Start with the linked fairness prompt. Record a spoken response, review clarity, evidence, trade-off reasoning, and respect for affected people, adjust one concrete improvement, record again, and compare both attempts. Use the second attempt to practise a concise one-on-one discussion.
