Admission requirements
Applicants normally complete a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution; exceptional applicants with three years of undergraduate work may be considered. Degrees earned outside the United States require a World Education Services course-by-course equivalency evaluation, but all prerequisite coursework must be completed at a U.S. regionally accredited institution. AP or IB credit is accepted when it appears on the college transcript; CLEP is not accepted. DO application requirements
Prerequisites are eight semester hours of biology including two lab hours; eight hours of physics including two lab hours; sixteen hours of chemistry including four lab hours, at least four hours of organic chemistry with lab and at least three hours of biochemistry; and six hours of English composition or literature. DO application requirements
The MCAT must be within three years of matriculation. For 2027 admission, the oldest accepted score is January 2024; scores from 2024, 2025 and 2026 are valid, and a January 2027 score is accepted. PCOM has no minimum MCAT or GPA, but describes 500 with 125 in each MCAT subsection as generally competitive. DO application requirements
At least three professional recommendations are required. PCOM prefers sources such as a pre-health advisor or committee, faculty familiar with academic performance, and physicians or health-care providers familiar with clinical experience; at least one academic source is strongly recommended. DO application requirements
Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, and pending permanent-resident status is not eligible. Some applicants must meet current English-proficiency requirements. DO application requirements

The current page does not publish the exact Summer 2027 program start date, orientation date or location-specific interview dates.
How selection works
PCOM Georgia candidates submit a separate AACOMAS application and $75 fee. Although requirements and process are shared across PCOM's three locations, an individual Faculty Committee on Admissions evaluates each location-specific application. DO application requirements
PCOM uses holistic review. It considers grades and MCAT alongside research, clinical exposure, leadership, extracurricular activities, community involvement, motivation for medicine, recommendations and autobiographical statements. Qualified applicants receive rolling interview invitations from the Georgia admissions office. DO application requirements
The school publishes no numerical selection weights, GPA or MCAT cutoff, interview scoring or weight, committee-vote rule or final score-combination method.
Interview details

Not published
The current page does not publish the number of interviews, one-to-one, panel or MMI structure, duration, interviewer roles, file access, question categories, preparation time, scoring rubric, weights, assessor calibration, committee-vote mechanics or final score-combination method. It also does not explain whether virtual and on-campus interviews are assessed identically.
Who this program may suit
PCOM Georgia is a branch campus in Suwanee, 27 miles north of downtown Atlanta. Its focus is recruiting and educating students from Georgia and surrounding states and retaining health professionals in the Southeast. The curriculum combines lectures with applied learning, simulation and live patient actors, followed by clinical education in hospitals and clinics across greater Atlanta. PCOM Georgia DO program
Applicants should be prepared to connect a specific experience to Southeast health needs, whole-person care and community service. The separate AACOMAS identity and individual Faculty Committee support a campus-specific page even though the requirements are shared across PCOM locations.
Practice and next step
Record one response to the featured prompt. Use a specific clinical, service or leadership example to show what you observed, how you acted, what you learned about the person's wider context and why it matters for care in Georgia or the Southeast.
Review whether the answer demonstrates empathy, resilience, clinical understanding and a grounded reason for PCOM Georgia. Record it again with one improvement, then compare both attempts. Practise for both conversational and structured delivery because PCOM publishes modality choice but not interview structure.

Structured Interview Essentials
Build a repeatable spoken-answer loop across five common structured-interview skills: fair decisions, ethical reasoning, using feedback, teamwork under pressure, and explaining your motivation. Record each response once, choose the weakest one, review one observable weakness, and answer it again with one deliberate adjustment.
