Clinic appointment access and fairness
Original Videoath MMI-style spoken practice for the McMaster admissions-page canary. This is not a recalled or confidential McMaster question. Review the response for a clear opening position, affected people and interests, missing information, fair trade-offs, respectful communication, and a concise conclusion. Use a two-attempt loop: review one observable weakness, then record the same prompt again with that adjustment.

Admission requirements
Applicants need at least 15 full courses or 30 half courses of undergraduate university study by June 30 of the year of entry, with at least 20 half or 10 full courses completed at application. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.0 on the 4.0 scale. OMSAS Queen’s
For the mainstream MD process, the current 2026–2027 guide lists a minimum MCAT total of 500 and 125 in each section, with all thresholds met in one test. Applicants must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons at the application deadline. The MD program is conducted in English. OMSAS Queen’s
All Queen’s MD applicants must complete Casper and the early-phase MMI through Acuity Insights. The exact Casper threshold is determined annually and is not disclosed. Application materials, assessments, and any pathway-specific documents must be submitted by the published deadlines; late or incomplete submissions are not considered. OMSAS Queen’s
This page is a general Kingston MD overview. Review separate Queen’s instructions for MDFM, MD/PhD, MD/MSc, MMTP, Indigenous, Black, and social-accountability pathways.

How selection works
Queen’s uses the Qualified Applicant Randomization Selection (QARS) process for eligible applicants. For the 2026–2027 cycle, the published mainstream thresholds are GPA 3.0, MCAT total 500 with 125 in each section, an annually determined Casper threshold, completion of the early-phase MMI, and a complete application. Threshold criteria are not weighted in QARS; applicants are considered for admission only if selected for interview evaluation. OMSAS Queen’s
The early-phase MMI is evaluated externally before QARS. If a secondary MMI runs, it is virtual; selected applicants may then complete a virtual synchronous panel interview. Queen’s does not publish one universal formula for every pathway, so do not transfer Kingston MD thresholds to MDFM or other streams.
Interview details
Confirmed
Queen’s requires Casper and an asynchronous early-phase MMI through Acuity Insights for MD applicants. The early MMI uses recorded video responses and may be completed from any location with the required technology. Queen’s says selected applicants may complete a secondary virtual MMI and a virtual synchronous panel interview. OMSAS Queen’s
Not published
The public 2026–2027 guide does not provide the complete early-MMI prompt set, station timing, scoring rubric, or final invitation schedule. The secondary MMI is conditional on Queen’s announcing it for the cycle. Follow Acuity and Queen’s invitation instructions.
Who this program may suit
The Kingston MD program may suit applicants who want a four-year, in-person curriculum with close faculty interaction, early clinical skills, and regional clerkship exposure across Ontario. Queen’s describes a curriculum that combines foundational and clinical sciences and includes community and hospital settings. This is an interpretation of published program information, not an admissions prediction. OMSAS Queen’s
Applicants should compare the Kingston program’s regional clerkship expectations with their location, travel, and learning constraints. The Durham Campus MDFM is a distinct program with a family-medicine focus and is intentionally outside this record.
Practice and next step
Use the linked original Videoath interview/MMI practice prompt about fair access under pressure. This is original Videoath practice, not school-authentic content. Record a first response that identifies the people affected, clarifies what you need to know, explains a fair decision rule, and communicates your next step.
Review the recording for one weakness—such as an unsupported assumption, a missing stakeholder, or a decision that is difficult to follow. Make one adjustment, record the response again, and compare the attempts for empathy, ethical reasoning, structure, and concision. The prompt and timer are Videoath settings; they do not reproduce Queen’s questions or scoring.
