Roseman Dental Medicine DMD Admissions Guide (2027)

Roseman's three-year DMD uses ADEA AADSAS, a required supplemental and Kira assessment before invitation-only interviews. Applicants choose either an all-Utah cohort or a dual-state pathway that moves from South Jordan to Henderson after year one; these are pathways within one DMD programme, not separate school applications.

Admission requirements

Applicants need at least 60 semester or 90 quarter hours; a bachelor's degree is not mandatory. Prerequisites completed within ten years include six semester courses in biology with laboratory when offered; two each of general or inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry and physics with laboratory; one biochemistry course; and two communication courses in English, composition, speech or related areas. English as a second language does not satisfy communication, and StraighterLine courses are not accepted. Current DMD admissions

The current initial screen requires at least a 3.0 science GPA across the most recent 30 science credit hours. Using the three-digit DAT scale, the school publishes floors of 370 Academic Average, 360 Perceptual Ability, 340 Reading Comprehension, 370 Biology and 380 Survey of Natural Sciences. Roseman uses the most recent DAT, requires it within three years and accepts the Canadian DAT. Qualifying results must be available by October 1.

A committee or composite letter is preferred. Otherwise, applicants submit three letters: two from science faculty and one from faculty, a health professional or another permitted evaluator; family letters are not accepted. At least 50 hours of dental shadowing or paid dental employment are required. Applicants who clear the minimum screen complete Kira before whole-file review and possible interview.

Important dates

ADEA AADSAS opened May 12, 2026 and accepted first submissions June 2. Roseman's AADSAS and supplemental applications are both due October 1, 2026. The supplemental fee is $75, with a waiver for applicants receiving ADEA fee assistance. Interview invitations can be issued from August 2026 through spring 2027, and dental schools may begin acceptance notifications December 15, 2026. Current DMD admissions ADEA AADSAS dates

Roseman's current DMD academic calendar begins D1 instruction in June, so this page labels the incoming cohort as Summer 2027. The current admissions contract names the Class of 2030 and the three-year curriculum but does not publish the exact June 2027 matriculation date, cohort-specific start dates or decision-release schedule.

How selection works

Applicants who meet the initial science-GPA and DAT screen receive Kira. A calibrated team scores Kira, and applicants in the designated range advance to comprehensive review and possible interview. Final review is holistic across the AADSAS application, supplemental, Kira and interview. Current DMD admissions

Roseman is private and welcomes applicants from all U.S. states and territories, Canada and other countries; it publishes no state-resident preference. The school does not publish the Kira cutoff range, quantitative file or interview weights, committee vote rules, Utah versus dual-state seat allocation or wait-list ordering.

Who this program may suit

Roseman's three-year competency-based programme emphasizes mastery, collaboration, the Lifelong Colleague philosophy and professional conduct. Applicants should be ready to explain how they learn in a team, respond to feedback and contribute to a shared learning culture. Current DMD admissions The Utah cohort and dual-state Utah/Nevada cohort are pathways in one DMD programme. This page excludes any future Roseman medicine programme, advanced-standing, transfer and specialty routes.

Practice and next step

Record a response about a team project or setback that changed how you learn with colleagues. Ask a reviewer whether you make your contribution, the feedback you received and the behavioural change concrete. Make one adjustment, record a second attempt and compare self-awareness and collaborative judgment.

Recommended preparation

Structured Interview Essentials

Build a repeatable spoken-answer loop across five common structured-interview skills: fair decisions, ethical reasoning, using feedback, teamwork under pressure, and explaining your motivation. Record each response once, choose the weakest one, review one observable weakness, and answer it again with one deliberate adjustment.
