Admission requirements

SHSU-COM requires U.S. citizenship, permanent residence, or lawful status eligible for Texas residency classification without visa sponsorship; a bachelor’s degree and at least 90 semester hours at an accredited U.S. or Canadian institution; English (6 credits), biology with lab (8), physics with lab (8), general chemistry with lab (8), organic chemistry with lab (8, with biochemistry able to substitute for Organic Chemistry II), and mathematics (6 including 3 statistics), with no grade below C.
