Admission requirements

Applicants must complete or have been awarded a four-year bachelor's degree in any subject before entry, with all degree requirements completed by April 30, 2027. At least 90 credit units must be complete by the October 1 application deadline. The minimum University Academic Average is 80%; applicants finishing their degree must also maintain an 80% average in the application year. USask academic requirements

The MCAT is required. For the 2026 application cycle, USask accepts scores from January 2022 through the August 28, 2026 test date and uses the highest-scoring eligible sitting. The minimum total is 492, with at least 123 in each section except that one section may be 122 if the total remains at least 492. Applicants must complete an approved Indigenous Studies course or an accepted certificate by the application deadline. The two certificate routes identified in the 2027-entry document remain accepted for this cycle but will not satisfy the following 2028-entry cycle. How selection works

Before interview, USask may consider Casper, MCAT total and section scores, University Academic Average, the written personal statement, the Saskatchewan/rural connectedness index, and the Diversity and Social Accountability Admissions Program index where applicable. For applicants outside the Indigenous Admissions Circle, the final Admission Rank Number is 30% UAA, 35% MMI, and 35% panel interview. All invited applicants complete a virtual combined process in February. The MMI uses station prompts across broad categories. The panel interview or conversation circle lets applicants discuss their personal stories and gives interviewers another opportunity to assess communication and emotional intelligence. For non-IAC applicants, the MMI contributes 35% and the panel contributes 35% of the final Admission Rank Number. The Indigenous Admissions Circle uses its holistic review and conversation-circle process. USask has not published exact February 2027 dates, the video platform, number or length of MMI stations, preparation time, panel size for the general route, question count, or detailed scoring rubrics.
