Admission requirements

Applicants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents and qualify under the residency rules for British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, or the northern territories. How selection works

Interview offers are based on an academic score calculated as two-thirds overall university average and one-third highest qualifying full-year average, with a minimum 75% overall average required. WCVM normally interviews two applicants per first-year seat. WCVM interview selection

For regular seats, the final published rank is 60% academic and 40% non-academic. The non-academic review includes the structured interview, references, documentation, animal and veterinary experience, communication, motivation, maturity, leadership, social awareness, and understanding of the profession. Agriculture-focused seats use a distinct 80% non-academic and 20% situational-judgment-test formula after applicants meet their eligibility rules. Do not apply that weighting to the regular provincial pools.
