Admission requirements

Before matriculation, applicants must confirm a bachelor's degree from an institution recognized by a U.S. Department of Education and Council for Higher Education Accreditation-recognized regional accreditor. Required coursework is eight credit hours each of biology with lab, general or inorganic chemistry with lab, organic chemistry with lab and physics with lab; three credit hours each of biochemistry and mathematics; and six credit hours of English. All prerequisites must be completed before matriculation and may be taken at any accredited institution. Requirements

The MCAT is required. The minimum for supplemental invitation is 500, scores may be no older than three calendar years, and the oldest accepted test for 2027 matriculation is January 1, 2024. Belmont seeks three recommendations: ideally one from a healthcare professional who observed the applicant clinically, one hard-science instructor and one additional faculty member or service supervisor.
