How selection works

A 70% cumulative average is the published screen-out floor, but the effective threshold can rise with the applicant pool. Candidates must meet the minimum standard in each component. Admissions FAQ

The Faculty does not publish the numerical weights, Casper cutoff, Online Individual Assessment cutoff, scoring rubric or committee decision rules. References, personal statements, extracurriculars and work experience are not used as selection criteria. Admissions FAQ

Interview details

Confirmed

Casper is required by January 21, 2027. The Faculty's current Casper page describes video-response and typed-response sections. Applicants who meet the initial academic and Casper thresholds may be invited to a video-enabled Online Individual Assessment. Casper requirements

The cycle-specific timeline sets the Online Individual Assessment for March 25, 2027. It uses video questions and responses plus multiple-choice questions inside a specified three-hour time block; approximately 700 candidates are invited. The FAQ still says the date is TBA, so the invitation controls if the two pages are not reconciled. Cycle-specific timeline Admissions FAQ

Not published

The Faculty does not publish the Online Individual Assessment question count, response timing, platform, question bank, rating dimensions, anchors, numerical weight or cutoff. It also does not publish how academics, Casper and the assessment combine quantitatively.

Who this program may suit

U of T may suit applicants who have completed the required university preparation and want an intensive three-year PharmD in downtown Toronto. The program emphasizes early real and simulated clinical exposure. Official program

The admissions process rewards disciplined preparation for two distinct non-academic gates: Casper and a fixed-time online assessment. Applicants who need schedule flexibility should note that the Faculty says no alternative Online Individual Assessment date or time will be offered. Admissions FAQ

Practice and next step

Practise the linked pharmacy error-communication scenario as a Casper response. State the immediate patient-safety concern, gather the missing facts, communicate transparently and propose a fair next step. Review whether your response balances safety, accountability and empathy. Record a second attempt that is more direct, then compare both attempts and carry the stronger structure into a new scenario.
