Admission requirements

Applicants need a qualifying degree by matriculation from a U.S. or Canadian institution approved by a U.S. regional accreditor. The usual screen is a current MCAT total of at least 504 with a competitive undergraduate GPA. Applicants with MCAT 501-503 and undergraduate GPA 3.7 may qualify when supported by an extremely competitive portfolio. Valid Fall 2027 MCAT dates are January 2023 through October 1, 2026. Prerequisites are two semesters each of general biology with lab, general inorganic chemistry with lab, physics with lab, and either two organic chemistry semesters with lab or one organic chemistry with lab plus one biochemistry with lab. Applicants also need two mathematics semesters, either two calculus courses or calculus plus statistics, and two English or writing semesters, with English plus philosophy accepted as an alternative. Science labs must be in person except labs moved online from Spring 2020 through Summer 2021. Community-college work is accepted. AP or IB credit in English, biology, mathematics, physics and inorganic chemistry may count when transcripted and verified by AMCAS; CLEP does not. Academic requirements

The school requires at least three letters and recommends four to seven. At least one should come from science or mathematics faculty; a medical professional and research mentor are strongly recommended. Committee or pre-health packets are accepted. A complete file also documents service, medical exposure, research, leadership and teamwork. Current terms say a C may require explanation or remediation, a D or lower triggers reevaluation, and required courses should not be pass/fail or credit/no-credit.
