Admission requirements

Undergraduate study and GPA

Applicants must complete at least 90 credit hours or 15.0 credits—three undergraduate years—at a recognized university by April 30 of the entry year and achieve a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA across all undergraduate coursework. Prerequisites

The current required university-level subjects are 0.5 credit in biochemistry, 1.0 in general mammalian physiology, 2.0 in biology and 0.5 in English. Each needs at least 50% or a pass/credit designation. Labs are not required; prerequisites more than 10 years old are not considered; AP and IB credit cannot satisfy them; and online prerequisites may be accepted. DAT

Applicants must take the Canadian or American DAT within the two years before the November 1 deadline, and Western must receive scores by that deadline. Western uses the most recent eligible DAT. Casper and Western ABS

All applicants must complete a Canadian Casper during the cycle in which they apply. Snapshot and Duet are not required. After the OUAC application closes, current applicants receive access to the Western ABS through Kira Talent.
