An acceptable Dental Admission Test score is required; the Canadian Dental Aptitude Test is also accepted. The school does not publish a numerical minimum or score-validity window. A complete file includes verified AADSAS, transcripts from every institution, DAT results and three recommendations, two from former science professors. The current sources reviewed do not publish a citizenship or residency restriction, TOEFL rule, dental-shadowing minimum, supplemental fee, or GPA threshold.
Important dates
Yeshiva's current programme site explicitly says applications for Summer 2027 are being accepted. Applicants apply through ADEA AADSAS and then complete YUCDM's supplemental. Current programme site
The catalogue encourages complete credentials before September 1, 2026 for full consideration. Initial screening begins in late June, interview invitations begin in early September, and formal interviews run from early October through mid-February. Initial offers begin December 15, 2026, with hold review and further offers continuing until the class is filled. The school does not publish a hard YUCDM application deadline or exact Summer 2027 start date in the current sources reviewed; AADSAS itself closes February 5, 2027.
How selection works
YUCDM says interview and admission selection are based mostly on academic achievement and performance trend plus DAT results. Other published factors are completion date, orientation to dentistry, recommendations, course rigor and institution quality. Service orientation, leadership, cultural competence, communication, ethics and resilience are explored throughout recruitment and admission. Current catalogue
After interview, committee members make decisions, with admitted, denied or hold statuses beginning December 15. The catalogue does not publish numerical weighting, GPA or DAT thresholds, interview score cutoffs, vote mechanics or hold-pool ordering.
Interview details
Confirmed
A formal standardized interview is required. For Summer 2027 forward, YUCDM says competitive applicants receive invitations beginning in early September for formal on-site interviews starting in early October and continuing through mid-February. Questions are standardized and Admissions Committee members score the interview with a rubric. Voting membership includes full- and part-time faculty and community dentists. Current catalogue
Not published
The catalogue does not publish interview length, number of interviewers or stations, interviewer file access, exact question domains, rubric dimensions, numerical interview weight, on-site schedule or accommodation process. One sentence says interview days will typically be scheduled in spring despite the same section's October-mid-February window; treat that as an unresolved wording conflict.
Who this program may suit
YUCDM is a new, intensive three-year DDS in a purpose-built Midtown Manhattan setting. Its published selection factors emphasize academic trajectory and DAT evidence alongside service, leadership, ethics, cultural competence, communication and resilience. Programme and campus
CODA's Winter 2026 action moved Yeshiva from new programme developing to initial accreditation, with a mid-initial visit scheduled for August 2028. CODA action report This page covers only the regular predoctoral DDS, not Yeshiva medical, graduate or specialty programmes.
Practice and next step
Record a structured response about adapting quickly while protecting patient safety and learning quality. Ask a reviewer to identify whether your example shows a clear constraint, action and reflection relevant to an intensive three-year programme. Make one adjustment, record a second attempt and compare credibility and concision.

Recommended preparation
Structured Interview Essentials
Build a repeatable spoken-answer loop across five common structured-interview skills: fair decisions, ethical reasoning, using feedback, teamwork under pressure, and explaining your motivation. Record each response once, choose the weakest one, review one observable weakness, and answer it again with one deliberate adjustment.
